Plaza Art Fair

The plaza art fair is a community event to celebrate creativity and the people of Kansas City. Though a poster series and campaign for the event, I set out to visualize and communicate the importance of art through imagery and languaging to define it as something more than a picture on a canvas or a piece of pottery to display.

Art is everywhere, impacting and inspiring us, which reflects back out onto the world around us through everything we create. Each individual has a unique view of the world to share and express creatively. Art is our perception of the world… and our perception of the world is art … a constant reflection of perception and expression.

To visualize this message, I created a series of acrylic paintings to collide with photographed portraits to symbolize an individuals perception of the world around them as art.
